Funds raised through our event go directly to support the Heart Transplant Home Society and its maintenance of post-surgical, short-term, accommodation in Vancouver for heart transplant and ventricular assist device recipients living outside the Lower Mainland in BC. Help us eliminate barriers and financial stressors associated with finding short term accommodation in Vancouver for these patients and their families. Type of knot: Senna Chobi rugs are traditionally produced in many regions of Pakistan. The word "chobi" is from the Farsi word "chob" which means wood, referring to the source of its natural dyes. Bunyaad's Chobis tend to have large geometric floral patterns. They are all hand-knotted with hand-spun wool spun primarily by a drop spindle. Their natural dyes are made entirely from hand-gathered fruits, vegetables, roots, tree barks and dried shells, making Chobis the most labour-intensive of all of Bunyaad's tribal carpets.
