![]() | Youth and Opera![]() 100% of all funds raised will help support Pacific Opera Victoria’s youth programs, including: Living Opera Classroom Workshops, which brings 40 minutes of music and storytelling to K–7 students connecting opera to Arts Education and Language Arts curricula inspiring the next generation of opera lovers and performers. And the Opera Sprouts Initiative, a pilot project exploring the creation of new opera for youth in BC schools. In partnership with Vancouver Opera, the program supports composer–librettist teams through mentorship and collaboration—cultivating new works for schools while connecting artists to the professional world of opera. The teams then engage schools in the creative process, gathering feedback and inspiration from the young audiences these new operas are designed to reach. Your participation ensures that opera continues to thrive and reach new audiences across all generations, creating opportunities for artistic expression, connection, and community. |
