This allows couples to feel closer emotionally, feel more connected to their partner because they've started to learn more about them, and increase the desire for physical intimacy. It’s no surprise that hummingbird symbolism and meaning are important to people around the world. Just as the hummingbird spirit animal is a sacred totem for many. As an animal lover, I enjoy portraying my versions of horses, birds, whales, bears and dogs. They are often irreverent, usually taking on some human qualities with a slice of wit or humour. "The Kiss"
![]() 24" x 20" framed as shown The Kiss is Gustav Klimt's most popular work. At a remarkable 72in x 72in its powerful presence resounds from the wall as the life-size figures, wrapped in gold, embrace. The post-Victorian society of the early 1900s perceived "The Kiss" as pornographic, even though both figures are fully robed. Despite the public outcry it generated, "The Kiss" sold before the artist had completely finished it. The Belvedere Museum of Vienna, Austria, was the purchaser. This is a much smaller version with my "twist" on the iconic image. Valued at $2,300 Current bid: $0 Donated By marion evamy

"Delilah"
![]() ![]() Acrylic on birch panel. 60" x 40". Strong women is an eclectic collection of the way I portray women in my artwork. Numerous techniques and styles are represented, as there seems to be no one way to really show the strength of the female and her form. Painterly nudes or expressionist like figures utilizing a black underpainting, or even a mixed media approach to depicting Queenagers - anything goes! The female form has been a favourite subject for years. I like to approach each figure with emotion and strength, bringing a distinct personality to every painting. Whether it’s bold and textured, or soft and muted - each comes alive in a different way! Valued at $6,000 Current bid: $0 Donated By marion evamy Item pickup location: red art gallery sidney b.c.. |

"Perpetual Motion"
![]() ![]() Acrylic and oil stick. 48" x 72" This stunning abstract is sure to be the focus of any large wall it hangs on! One thing that both visual art and music have in common is the ability to elicit an emotional reaction. Artists and musicians produce works that not only elicit emotions, but also change one's mood, evoke memories, and provide comfort and inspiration. Because they share aspects such as harmony, balance, rhythm, and repetition, visual art and music have many parallels. Hence the title "Perpetual Motion" - which of course is impossible! "Line Dancers"
![]() 14" x 12". Line dancing. While many believe that the start of line dancing can be traced back to the round and square dances of Europe, others would argue that it is a contemporary phenomenon only starting as early as the 1970s. The origins of country music were rooted in the regional folk songs of the American settlers. Each state, county, and town would have their own songs, instrumentation, and sounds. The folk dancing associated with this music was likewise unique to its’ locality. As the diverse sounds of American folk music evolved and coalesced into the genre of country music, so too would folk dances turn into country dances. These dances would over time form the base for what would eventually come to be line dancing. Valued at $145 Current bid: $0 Donated By marion evamy

"Disco Dancers"
![]() 14" x 12" Disco began in the late 1960s and early 1970s as an alternative dance music to popular rock music. At clubs and discotheques in places like New York City and Philadelphia, DJs played records that their predominantly Black patrons could dance to, and these venues became popular places to hear soul, funk, jazz, and R & B music. Musicians recognized that DJs needed playlists that could keep dancers dancing for hours, with repetitive driving beats, syncopated bass lines, and infectious hooks. "Ride Me Back Home" print
![]() The original painting is available for purchase at $4750. Life’s personalities are like a patchwork quilt, stitched together from experiences, quirks, and a touch of randomness. Each shape in the quilt tells a unique story, and when woven together, they create a masterpiece that’s beautifully imperfect. What goes for humans, also goes for animals. Any pet owner or scientist who studies animals will be able to confirm the fact that every sentient being has their own personality. ‘Ride me back home’ was initially named after the song of the same name by singer Willy Nelson. The song references the horse as a symbol of freedom, and was inspired by the 60-odd rescue horses that Nelson keeps on his Texas ranch. The painting and the song honour all that the horse has done for the human race. Valued at $500 Current bid: $0 Donated By marion evamy
