Seniors Grocery Program
The Sovereign Order, Victoria Commandery, is partnering with the Society of St Vincent de Paul for the sixth consecutive year. We’ll again deliver grocery cards to over 350 registered seniors in our community who live on a fixed income. The grocery cards will make Christmas brighter for those who depend on food banks throughout the year. This little extra helps lift their spirits and allows them to have a holiday dinner, or perhaps to purchase special treats or food items they would otherwise not be able to afford. Let’s fill not just their cupboards, but their hearts.

Grant Programs
Our mission is simple yet urgent: to aid those experiencing health challenges and economic hardship. The Sovereign Order, with funding from our partner, the Times Colonist Christmas Fund, a BC Gaming Grant, and our donors, has expanded its support from awarding 10 grants totalling $129,500 in 2020 to an impressive 69 grants amounting to $847,860 in 2024. However, the need continues to grow. Last year alone, cumulative funding requests exceeded $1.3 million, this year we have over $2.1 million in requests, highlighting the increasing demand for our assistance. Your generosity gives those in our community the gift of hope.
