Sound of Change
For 30 years IDHHC has delivered services across Vancouver Island with a mission that encompasses communication. During these Covid times, with masks and plexiglass and social distancing, traditional communication techniques are especially challenging for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals. IDHHC is here and ready to assist with technology, information, strategies and service to help us all adapt and succeed in the changing environments.

Our Sound of Change Initiative is a program growing in need during these difficult pandemic times. This program provides hearing assessments, refurbished hearing aids, tech aids and aural rehab ALL FREE to low income and vulnerable adults and seniors with hearing loss. Current program participants describe regained confidence and self-worth; reduction of fear and anxiety, reduced isolation and a better quality of life.

But we cannot do this work alone. Your donation will ensure that we are fully equipped to help the individuals and families that need our services. Tax receipts are issued for all donations $20.00 or more. Thank you!
